I originally started my forum journey with phenomlab.com (using Flarum), then tried an iteration of other domains trying to get a product together that would work for a security community. Sadly, under Flarum, this failed somewhat - mostly due to a lack of real flexibility in the platform and needing an extension to make any real change to layout etc. For this reason, I shelved the community I put together, and instead, decided to focus on another passion of mine - Pro Bono consultancy.
As a result of this, metabullet.com was born. To be clear from the outset, metabullet.com isn’t going anywhere, so don’t panic 🙂
However, today heralds something of a landmark for phenomlab in the sense that a new community based on NodeBB has been created, and is now live, and accepting registrations over at https://phenomlab.com. I’m not going to fill this particular post with screenshots, - you can see the “eye candy” for yourself when you visit, and I think you’ll love it.
The news feeds are live, and so are my comments 🙂 There’s some blog posts to read, and I intend to expand on this product to make it one of the best infosec resources around. Not an easy task when you consider all of the others that are in place, have been for a long time, and as a result, are mature and have a loyal fan base. This new site is being actively used by me for intelligence - gained, and ultimately shared with the wider community as that grows.
For now, those who are curious can take a look here to see what’s on offer.
More to come….
